• OAOA Spirit Officiating association is comprised of 5 members, minimum of 3 performance judges and max of 4 performance judges with spirit judge/s completing the balance to 5 members.
• OAOA Spirit Officiating association commissioners shall be elected by the executive members of the OCCA with majority approval during the March OCCA meeting. The term shall be three years, with no term limit. They may be removed by ⅔ vote of the executive members of the OCCA. (aligned with OAOA Handbook rule 8)
• In addition to OAOA Handbook rule 8, spirit recommends the following requirements for OAOA Spirit commissioners:
• No affiliation with a school within that school year
• May not serve on the OCCA executive board
• Must have minimum of 2 years judging experience
• Must credential thru a Varsity Brand judges training annually

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Meet at least four times a year
• Organize and implement state and regional clinics partnering with local associations.
• Analyze and make recommendations concerning officiating issues, ideas and proposals.
• Conduct surveys of associations and officials to assist in decision making.
• Promote state-wide uniformity in rule interpretations and mechanics.
• Develop and recommend content for your sport's OAOA web page.
• Develop and manage the Committee's budget
• Develop awards and recognition programs.
• Select annual Official of the Year.
• Recommend additions/revisions to the Athletic Officials Handbook (AOH).
• Assist OAOA with respect to fee and compensation issues.
