The Oregon Cheerleading Coaches Association strives to raise funds for both talent and academic scholarships to be awarded to outstanding cheerleaders whose coaches are members of OCCA. The number of scholarships awarded will continue to grow as members dedicate funds from the OCCA All-State Competition, the Oregon Cheer Championships and OCCA Game Day Championships. Talent Scholarships are awarded at the OCCA All-State Competition.

Scholarships will be awarded to Oregon High School and/or All-Star Gym Cheerleaders who will be graduating in the class of 2021. Scholarships awarded will be non-renewable and will total a minimum of $1,000. Scholarships may be awarded to cheerleaders from all classifications (1A-6A).There is no limit to the number of applicants from one school.

Applicants must have a 3.5 GPA by the end of their junior year to be eligible to apply. Applicants are evaluated on their academic performance, dedication to their team and school, future goals and community involvement.

Candidates must complete the below application, essay, required recommendations, information, and submit electronically.

Applications are due NO LATER THAN March 1st, 2021. Any items not included in online application should be emailed to scholarships@occa.net. Applications or information incompletely or incorrectly submitted will be ineligible for an OCCA Academic Scholarship.

What We're Looking For

​OCCA understands that many schools and gyms are facing hardships with their budgets and we believe everyone should be able to attend conference in the spring. Not only do you walk away with knowledge from amazing sessions and presenters, but also you get the chance to socialize with other Oregon cheer coaches.

The OCCA offers TWO non-renewable conference registration fee scholarships for the head coach of a Rec, high school or all-star gym.
